Nice Web 2.0 Marketing Best Practices photos

Web 2.0 Marketing has leveled the internet marketing field. The small business owner now has a chance to compete with the huge multi-million dollar companies. With billions of people logged on to their computers every minute of every day; utilizing some or all of the marketing avenues that Web 2.0 has opened up; the small business has a chance in the online world to gain higher visibility and improve page rankings.

No matter what type of marketing technique is used, the content on the website should be constantly updated and well written. The content should be interesting, easy to understand and informative and up-to-date. If the site has a blog; make sure that it is checked frequently and that each post gets a response. This will help build trust with users and lets them know that there is a real person behind the website.

To promote their product and/or service; companies can use social networking sites, post blogs, wikis and post videos. Social networking sites allow for user interaction in real time through email, instant messaging, posting blogs and comments and posting videos. This is a great (and free) way to build links and gain visibility.

YouTube and Flickr are easy ways to get people interested in your product or service. Videos are another way to let people know that this is a real company and not just a computer. The video should be short and informative and have links back to the main page.
Sometimes it may not be a good idea to have too many irons in the fire. The company may decide that it is best to just pick one social media site rather than to dapple in all of them. It actually depends on the time and employee resources the company has available. If the company chooses to use multiple social media sites, there should be employees assigned specifically to those sites to keep them updated and fresh.

Taking advantage of just one or all of the Web 2.0 Marketing avenues that are available may very well be the key to increasing online presence, increasing page ranks and generating more revenue.
