The best way to learn about web 2.0 applications in marketing is to first understanding your demographic and then seek conversation with that demographic through social media and social interaction. There are so many sites and without knowing your demographic I would be doing you a disservice by recommending any particular tools or strategies.

There are several good resources about Web 2.0 writtne by others but very few about web 2.0 marketing and the different tools involved.
