Once a business has decided to put Web 2.0 Marketing to work; they must be prepared to utilize it consistently. Consistency is the key to success if the company wants to make the most out of their Web 2.0 Marketing efforts. The internet has become viral in nature and Web 2.0 is giving users more control over the content they view. People’s needs and interests are constantly changing and the successful marketer must change with them.

There are a variety of Web 2.0 Marketing tools that a business can utilize to increase their online presence and increase revenue:

The easiest way to set up a blog is to use a hosted blogging service such as: WordPress, Blogger, LiveJournal and TypePad. Blogs are great for businesses that are looking to expand their site, SEO purposes, cross-linking and simply increasing their online presence. Keep in mind that users expect to communication with the host of the blog. So, do not create a blog if you are not willing or do not have the time to keep it updated.

A podcast is an audio file that can be downloaded to a computer and synced to any mp3 player and listened to over and over again. Podcasts are live streaming audio and there seems to be a podcast on just about every subject there is. All that is needed to create a podcast is a computer, a microphone and the internet. If the company decides to create podcasts as a way of marketing, they must be prepared to keep the content updated and fresh.

Web 2.0 Marketing is changing the way that the marketer thinks. At least, the marketer must be open to all of this new technology if they expect to compete in this new world.
